An electromagnetic storm of undiscovered origins sweeps through the city and destroys everything in its irregular path. Nikki, a young girl reported to have been in the eye of the storm the entire time, is blamed and a citywide effort to stop her is initiated.
Dark Blood and the Incantation A girl crawls out from a mound of garbage and sees a city in ruins. She wanders around trying to piece together what has happened and meets a deranged young girl named Firefly. The Rainfall Communion Nikki and Firefly wander into a church. Luciferin Burns A girl is trapped in her room inside a condemned apartment building. Every week a hooded man drops food and supplies through her mail slot without so much as a word. Her damaged memories are gradually recollected by her own blood drawn paintings. Another Cold Night Unable to stay warm Nikki takes extreme measures. Audrey's Fire A storm victim wants Nikki dead. Audrey's Fault Audrey is a thirteen year old living with her father in a run down apartment, struggling for food and to keep the power on. As the storm grows closer she fights to hold the world around her together. The Premonitions of Alley Shade David, a homeless boy, is uncomfortable, introspective and haunted by predictions of minor events that all come true. His obsession with Audrey leaves his mind blank as he does everything he can just to be closer to her. Nikki invades his dreams and begins to take over his mind. As the incoming storm looms close, he fights for his life with Audrey, and for her safety from all that is to come. |
